Slugify help

Make a readable, safe URL slug from a heading. Everything runs in your browser and your settings are remembered.

Steps

1. Type or paste text.
2. The slug updates as you type. Press Copy to take it.

Options

• Separator — hyphen, underscore, dot, or none.
• Max length — trims to whole words so the slug never ends mid-word or on a separator.
• lowercase — on by default.
• strict — keep only letters and digits; off also keeps . _ ~ -.
• keep non-Latin letters — keep Cyrillic, Greek, CJK, etc. instead of dropping them.

What it changes

Accented Latin letters are folded to plain ASCII (é to e). A few symbols are spelled out: & to "and", % to "percent", € £ $ to currency codes, ß to "ss".

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you enter or drop is uploaded.
