About PDF Text Editor

PDF Text Editor is for the small correction: a wrong date, a misspelled name, a price that changed. It finds the text lines on the page, you click the one you want, retype it, and the tool redraws that line using the font already embedded in the file. The rest of the page is untouched.

The PDF is read and rewritten in the browser. It is never uploaded, and the saved file carries no watermark.

How to use it

  1. Open a PDF. Text-based pages work; scans have no editable text.
  2. Click a detected line on the page.
  3. Type the replacement. Choose whether to keep the box, shrink to fit, or wrap when the new text is longer.
  4. Adjust the size, colour, or box position if the line needs it.
  5. Apply. Repeat for other lines, then Save PDF.

Common questions

Can it edit any PDF?

It needs real text in the file. A scanned document is an image of text, so there is nothing to select. Run OCR elsewhere first if you must edit a scan.

Will the font match?

When the original font is embedded, the tool reuses it. If the font is a subset that lacks a character you type, or its character map is broken, it falls back to a close standard font and tells you.

Is the file uploaded?

No. Editing happens in the page. There is no server copy.

Can I move or delete a line, not just retype it?

You can retype a line, blank it, resize its box, and recolour it. Full layout editing is out of scope.

Does it keep the PDF valid for printing?

Yes. The output is a standard PDF. Keep your original until you have checked the change.
