About Image Recolor

Image Recolor makes three colour edits without a photo editor. Tint lays a colour over the whole image with a choice of blend modes. Swap finds one colour and shifts it to another while keeping the shading. Cut background keys out a flat backdrop so the subject is left on transparency.

The image is processed on a canvas in your browser. It is never uploaded, and the export is a PNG so colours and transparency are exact.

How to use it

  1. Drop an image, or click to choose one.
  2. Pick a mode: Tint, Swap colour, or Cut background.
  3. Adjust the colours and sliders. In Swap and Cut you can click the image to sample a colour.
  4. Save PNG.

Common questions

Is the image uploaded?

No. Every edit runs on a canvas in the open tab. The file stays on your device.

Will Cut background remove any background?

It is a colour key, so it works on a flat, even backdrop. A busy photo or a subject that shares colours with the background needs a dedicated cut-out tool.

Does Swap colour flatten the shading?

No. Every matched pixel moves by the same amount, so highlights and shadows are kept.

What size images work?

Anything up to 2600px on the long side is kept as-is; larger images are scaled down for speed.
